What time can my event take place?
Daytime: 10:00am-3:00pm
Evenings: 5:00pm-1:00am
Is there a charge to use the space?
There is no charge to use the space provided the minimum food & beverage expenditure is met. All room minimums are based on food and beverages exclusive of taxes and gratuity. If the minimum spend is not met, the difference will appear as a room rental fee on the final bill.
The minimum spend requirement changes depending on the date and time of your event.
Additional rental fees may be incurred.

How are beverage costs managed?
All alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are charged based upon consumption per drink plus gratuity and GST. Custom bar offerings can be tailored with our Event Manager.
Can I bring my own wine?
Deane House does not extend the bring your own wine privilege to semi private or private events as per AGLC rules.
When does the bar close?
For evening functions the bar closes at 12:30am.
How are menus created for my function?
All menus for private events are pre-set. The menus are based on current a la carte menu offerings and change throughout the season.
For groups of 100+ we require entrée and dessert selections from your guests two weeks prior to the event date.
Are vendor meals available?
Yes, we recommend a choice of entrée on your menu.
Your vendors will note in their contract if they require a meal.
Does Deane House have a Microphone and other AV equipment?
Yes, 1 wireless microphone for use inside the house.
Does Deane House provide background music?
Yes, we have a house system which will provide music during your event. We are quipped for iPod connection. There is no sound system on the patio.
Can I bring my own Band/DJ vendor?
Yes, we welcome live entertainment.
Arrangements can be discussed with our Event Manager. Space may be limited dependent on your guest count.
Can space be cleared for a dance floor?
The amount of space available for a dance floor depends on the number of guests and the floorplan for your event.
Can we bring in our own cake/cupcakes?
Yes, we charge a $5 dessert fee per guest. Must be purchased from a licensed bakery and be peanut free.
Can Deane House arrange for florals/entertainment/décor and photography?
Although we do not arrange the above we have a preferred vendors list to help you on your search. We can also coordinate delivery.
What else should I consider?
Be sure to consider the following items for your ‘day of’ agenda. Our Event Manager can help with any questions you may have regarding:
Seating- depending on final guest count and pace of crowd it can take 10-30 minutes for all guests to sit.
Formal introductions, welcome speech and first toasts
Order taking- at least 20 minutes is needed to confirm orders
Speeches- for flow and efficiency of service speeches are best suited between courses
What are the key dates to consider?
Signed contract and deposit due upon booking
Formal planning meeting with your Event Manager 4-8 weeks in advance of your private event/wedding date at Deane House
Final food and beverage selections due 2 weeks in advance
Final guest count and floor plan due 3 business days in advance
How are payments and deposits arranged?
Your contract will outline your individual payment schedule.
The signed contract and deposit of 30% of the minimum spend is required to secure the date.
Final payment for the event is due at the end of the event.
Can I plan designated seating?
Yes, we highly recommend assigning seating.
Please supply your own place cards and seating plan based on the floor plan agreed upon with the Events Manager.
Who is my contact on the day of the event?
The Event Manager will introduce you to the Floor Manager, who will be your contact for the duration of the event.
When can I set up my event?
You and your vendors will have access 2 hours prior to the event start time for inside the house.
For private outdoor tent events, you will have access from 9am on the day of the event.

Is parking available?
Deane House has a designated parking lot with 15 stalls.
There is City street parking surrounding the area.
