Deane House on the Move
WHAT’S OLD
Built in 1906 on the Fort Calgary site, Deane House was moved across the Elbow River to its current location in 1929.
Pulled across by steam-tractor on temporary pilings, the move was such an astonishing feat of engineering that it was made famous in Popular Mechanics magazine.
91 years on, we're proud to be a part of its storied heritage. We're excited to welcome you to the next chapter after yet another restoration, though this time it's culinary fame we're seeking.
